Dr. Vincentia Aung

Vincentia received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Physiology at the University of Alberta. She subsequently pursued a dental residency program at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto where she gained valuable experience in treating complex dental cases while working with medically compromised patients and patients with physical and mental disabilities.

Vincentia grew up with the influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) learned from her father. She formalized this education by completing the Certificate Program of Medical Acupuncture at the University of Alberta, which culminated in learning acupuncture, TCM and Qi Gong at various TCM hospitals in Beijing, China. She enjoys combining both Western and Eastern philosophies when practicing dentistry and views dental health as it relates to one’s general health, well-being and quality of life. She also enjoys continuing education by attending various seminars and conferences, and is a member of the Edmonton District Dental Society. In addition, Vincentia enjoys teaching part-time as a clinical instructor at the U of A, Faculty of Dentistry. When she is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
