Aung Family Dentistry
Our Philosophy
We feel that oral health begins with a positive, evolving and continued relationship with your dental team. We value mutual understanding of personal goals, informed decisions, and trust. We will strive to build a partnership with you by respecting your opinions and listening to your needs. We will do our best to inform you of your choices based on evidence and experience.
We believe in comprehensive dentistry, an integrated approach combining all aspects of oral health and general health. Whether it be preventative hygiene care, cast gold fillings, porcelain veneers or wisdom tooth extractions, we are dedicated to providing you our best services available.
Dr. Vincentia Aung
Vincentia received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Physiology at the University of Alberta. She subsequently pursued a dental residency program at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto where she gained valuable experience in treating complex dental cases while working with medically compromised patients and patients with physical and mental disabilities.
Vincentia grew up with the influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) learned from her father. She formalized this education by completing the Certificate Program of Medical Acupuncture at the University of Alberta, which culminated in learning acupuncture, TCM and Qi Gong at various TCM hospitals in Beijing, China. She enjoys combining both Western and Eastern philosophies when practicing dentistry and views dental health as it relates to one’s general health, well-being and quality of life. She regularly attends courses and continuing education and is an active member of the Edmonton District Dental Society (EDDS), the Canadian Academy of Restorative and Prosthodontics (CARDP) and local study clubs. Vincentia loves being a dentist and having the opportunity to be a part of her patient’s life and dental care. When she is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, three adored children and two silly dogs.

COVID-19 Updates
Since Alberta’s Phase 2 relaunch, our clinic has been accepting and treating dental emergency and urgent services only. Although we are now able to provide routine dental care, we will continue to maintain the emergency safety protocols we had established during that time.
Prior to your next visit, we will ask COVID triage questions through email, phone and text reminders. Please be patient as we will also ask these same screening questions when you present in person for your appointment.
We have always prided ourselves with a high standard of infection control and disease prevention. However, we have chosen to take this to the next level.
-You will notice that our clinical staff will be wearing enhanced PPE (gowns, hair covers)
-We will practice social distancing when possible
-You will notice that we have increased the frequency of disinfection in common areas and 'high touch' items (pens, point of sale machine, door handles.)
We request :
-Punctuality please. We have found it necessary to adjust our scheduling protocol to facilitate social distancing within the office and common areas (waiting rooms, elevator, parkade). Please remain in your vehicle, or outside the building until your scheduled time. In the event that we are running slightly behind, we will contact you to inform you. Please have your cell phone accessible during your appointment time.
-Please come to the office unaccompanied, unless the patient is a minor or has special needs.
-Upon arrival, you will need to complete a specific COVID medical consent form.
-We request that you disinfect your hands upon arrival and departure.
-In order to limit cash handling, please utilize credit and debit cards for payment of services.
-If you are experiencing cold and/or flu like symptoms, may have come in contact with someone who is COVID positive (or suspected positive), or have travelled outside the country within 14 days prior to your appointment, please call to reschedule your appointment.
Every measure has been taken to provide exceptional patient care in a safe environment. Our collective health and well being is our top priority. Should you have any questions or concerns, as always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
